Radio, television and on-demand broadcasts in Turkey are regulated under Law No. 6112 on the Establishment of Radio and Television Providers and Broadcasting Services, adopted in harmonization with the EU Directive 89/552/EEC, which was later abolished by the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2010/13/EU. For the purposes of regulating online audiovisual content, “Regulation on Radio, Television and On-Demand Broadcasts on the Internet” was published in the Official Gazette on 1 August 2019.
