Amendment to the Law on Unemployment Insurance

Article 41 of the Law on the Amendments to Various Laws No. 7226, published in the Official Gazette dated 26 March 2020 and numbered 31080, amended the Law on Unemployment Insurance No. 4447 and implemented Temporary Article 23. These amendments change the conditions of eligibility for State compensation if working hours are reduced and make it easier for employers to submit applications for reduced working hours in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
