The competent body regulating the insurance industry in the Republic of Turkey (Turkey) is the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) founded in İstanbul in 2020 by combining two former departments of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, namely the General Directorate of Insurance and the Insurance Supervisory Board.
